PRESENTATION

The 2nd International Congress on the History of Nursing Education (ICoHNE), 6th Colloquium of the Brazilian Academy of Nursing History (ABRADHENF), has its second joint edition, through a strong international partnership with several research groups and entities of the History of Nursing .
It can be said that the teaching of Nursing History has as its initial timeframe the establishment of the Standard Curriculum for Schools of Nursing (SCSN), in the USA, in 1917, called Historical, Ethical and Social Bases of Nursing.

Within the current curricular philosophy of training critical professionals, in relation to their profession and social role, it seems impossible to carry out this task without discussing the History of Nursing, its legacy for the present day and awareness of the responsibility of nurses in the future of Nursing.

In view of the above, this event has the following OBJECTIVES:

- Bring together students and researchers in the field of History of Nursing and related areas, from different countries, to strengthen the teaching of the History of Nursing in person;

- Discuss the teaching of the History of Nursing, through active methodologies, directed to the production of knowledge in Nursing and;

- Disseminate and disseminate the production of knowledge, through the field of nursing history, in the sense of valuing this professional.

-Strengthen national and international networks of researchers in the History of Nursing
